After five years of hosting engaging talks and creating unforgettable moments for “The Fixers,” award-winning singer, songwriter, and radio presenter Samantha Mogwe has announced she will not be renewing her contract with Gabz FM. Her final day at the station was January 31, 2025.

Samantha initially joined Gabz FM from 2019 to 2022, then returned for a second stint from 2023 to 2025. From day one, she and her co-host Swift Mpoloka set out to deliver impactful midday programming that balanced music, humor, and meaningful discussions. Their show, The Midday Fix, quickly became a favorite for its unique blend of lighthearted banter, expert-led conversations, and thought-provoking topics.

Reflecting on her time behind the mic, Samantha says Gabz FM felt like much more than just a job.

“When I started this journey, I had a vision for a midday show that would be engaging, fun, and filled with meaningful conversations. I am so proud of what The Midday Fix has become, and I am grateful to have worked alongside an incredible team—especially my co-host Swift Mpoloka, whose energy, wit, and passion have made every show memorable.”

While this marks the end of her radio chapter at Gabz FM, Samantha insists it’s not a permanent goodbye. In a press release, she explained that she’s stepping back to focus on other creative and professional pursuits, including her music career and project management ventures.

“This decision was not an easy one because Gabz FM has truly been home. I’ve loved the laughter, the debates, the insightful interviews, and most importantly, the connections made with our listeners,” she said. “But I also recognize that growth sometimes means embracing new opportunities. I’m stepping into the next phase of my journey with immense gratitude.”

In parting, Samantha expressed heartfelt thanks to Gabz FM management, her colleagues, and the loyal listeners who tuned in, called, and supported The Midday Fix throughout her time on air.

“To everyone who tuned in, shared a laugh with us, and kept the conversation going—thank you. You made every moment worthwhile. To the Gabz FM family, thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the abundance of love. Although this is my last chapter here, the story continues.”

Gabz FM likewise extended its appreciation for Samantha’s contributions, noting the positive mark she has left on the station and its audience.
